An unlikely tradition...
At the end of each month, having little money or food left, italian families would cook up what they had remaining into a gnocchi feast.
Folk lore has it that travelling missionaries, in thanks for families sharing their gnocchi would leave gold coins under their plates for the families. Hence it became known as lucky gnocchi day and is celebrated at the end of each month!
So Wednesday the 29th of May we are joining in the tradition; you can eat as much gnocchi as you like for $20. There will be 5 different flavours to choose from. So get the extended family together and come on in for a feast!
